Remember You is a mama’s circle that offers you the space to rest and be witnessed by other mamas who are caring for themselves as an act of collective care. During our time together you will be guided in yoga nidra, reflect with self inquiry prompts, and share in conversation with other mamas. Remember You is hosted monthly in Kingston, NY.
Your time and energy is sacred as a mother. It is your choice around who you share experiences with, places and space you hang out in, the food you put in your body, the ideas you put in your mind, the time you dedicate to rest and sleep, the way you work, and all the ways this affects your family. Since becoming a mama, you now have one or more new people in your life who need you, look up to you, and want to share important experiences with you. How do you balance all this?
Creating energetic boundaries for these areas of your life and the corresponding relationships will support you in living an empowered life, feeling more connected to your intuition, and trusting your decisions. These boundaries come from inner alignment with what you need and want for yourself and your family.
At this mama’s circle, we will open with a yoga nidra practice as a self-anointing ritual, hold space by self inquiry followed by group sharing around the theme of Energetic Boundaries, and close honoring what we have heard, seen, and felt.
“In this stage of initiation, a woman is harassed by the petty demands of her psyche which exhort her to comply with whatever anyone wishes. Compliance causes a shocking realization that must be registered by all women. That is, to be ourselves causes us to be exiled by many others, and yet to comply with what others want causes us to be exiled from ourselves. It is a tormenting tension and it must be borne, but the choice is clear.” -Clarissa Pinkola Estés
